An etching of Walt Disney supposedly by Salvador Dali is offered on ebay at the moment. Any idea if it is authentic? I have my doubts. Are Myklebust who sent me the image refers us to this link to decide. My mind is pretty much made up though as to the fact that this is a fake.

Sure looks like a fake to me, even Dali's scribbles looked better than this clumsy scrawl.

I love the expression of the eyes! It has enthusiasm, euphoria, determination and faith. The expression of someone who lives on the edge. However, that tiny hand that doesn't even look like a hand, when Walt's hands were so remarkable.... Don't think Dali would slip on that....

Hmm, there are no melting timepieces, so it must be a fake. Perhaps it's a portrait of Salvador Dali by Walt Disney. But that wouldn't be worth much, would it?

uhm.... first of its a portrait OF Disney by Dali, not the other way around.

Second, the 'scribes' are actualy Dali's signature over and over.

The signature is written by dali on pencil.

and third, its not ink, its Intaglio, which is very hard to make since its done on a hard surface.

Hope it helps.

Oh yeah, i know cus I own 68/165 :)
