I just learned over the weekend that Tom Sito's book about the history of computer animation had just been released. It is a great read and it contains quite a lot of info about Disney, Pixar and... WDI's role in that story. A "must-have" according to my criteria.

This just in from Gunnar Andreassen:
[Have you ever seen Walt Disney ridin' on the Big Bad Wolf ?
[Have you ever seen Walt Disney ridin' on the Big Bad Wolf ?
If not, see the enclosed drawings from Hearst's International/Cosmopolitan, Feb. 1934.
It was made by the Cuban caricaturist Conrado Massaguer, who seems largely forgotten today.
An extract of his life story, ( and examples of this art) see this link.
On another page I found a photo of him and WD, taken outside the Disney Studio in 1951.
Massaguer claimed to be a friend of Walt, and wrote an autobiography in the 1950s.]

I promised to review this book as soon as I got a copy. If the only thing you are interested in when it comes to the life of Eddie Carroll is his roles for Disney, then unfortunately this book will disappoint you. It is, however, an excellent biography of a fun actor and if your interest in Carroll is broader than just Disney it is definitely worth picking up. (The photo shows the author and the book.)

This book about the great Disney artist Aurelius Battaglia has just been released in Italy (in Italian). The author mentions:
[I wrote the story of the cartoonist Battaglia through the letters of his companion Eleanor Dalton, who corresponded with me for about 4 years.
Ada, a relative of Disney cartoonist and American illustrator of sicilian origin Aurelius Battaglia, contacted Eleanor Dalton, the artist's companion when she was young and had a long correspondence with her. Once she was old, she tells through those letters Aurelius life, painting an interesting story of cultural change of USA in '50s.
In the real life I corresponded to Eleanor from 1999 until her death in about 2003, and she was about 70 years old.
I will let know know what it is worth as soon as I get it.

In
the book Ada (who represents me) is an old woman who remembers the
corrispondence with Eleanor that she (Ada) had when she was young.
In
few words, I imagine (calling myself Ada) to remember and tell this
story when I will be an old woman ( I am 33 years old now).]
I will let know know what it is worth as soon as I get it.
