The color proofs for my upcoming book, They Drew As They Pleased - The Hidden Art of Disney's Golden Age, arrived yesterday. They look gorgeous and the book is now ready to go to the printer. I should be able to see the first physical copies at some point in July and the book should be released in September, I believe. More soon...

This looks great Didier! Can't wait to see all this beautiful artwork! This should be the first volume of a series, right?

Correct. If all goes well the series will be 6 volumes long. I am already hard at work on the second volume :-)

Dear Mr.Ghez, Which artists will be featured in the second volume? Also, I'm very interested in the art of David Hall, specifically on Peter Pan. Do you plan to include his work in a future volume?

The second volume was released earlier this year and focuses on the art and career of Walt Scott, Kay Nielsen, Sylvia Holland, Retta Scott and DAVID HALL. The cover is an amazing piece of art by David Hall from Peter Pan. See: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=1452137447/didierghezsdisneA/

Wow, I just checked it out. This volume looks amazing. It's been a while since I last checked the new books on disney art as I have a large collection and there is a lot of overlapping in images. I own Pierre Lamberts volumes and your magnificent Disneyland Paris book (with Mr. Littaye) and will definitely add this one to my collection. Thank you for the prompt reply Mr.Ghez!
