Here are several books I will definitely pick up when they are released: Full Steam Ahead!: The Life and Art of Ward Kimball by Amid Amidi and The Art of Wreck-It Ralph by Maggie Malone and Jennifer Lee Monn are directly Disney-related...
While A Mary Blair Treasury of Golden Books by John Canemaker and The Art and Making of Peanuts Animation by Charles Solomon focus on the non-Disney career of former Disney artists (Mary Blair and Bill Melendez).

I am a long-time reader/enjoyer of your blog, and look forward to recommendations of books like this. I was hoping you could help me with something specific though: in the course of my reading different Disney-related books, I keep coming across descriptions of the studio locations and buildings, their uses and locations at different periods in time - such-and-such a building was used for animation until it was converted for ink and paint or something, at which point the staff moved across the street, etc. etc. To get a sense of place in my head, can you recommend a book(s) that lay out - visually, if possible - where the Disney studios were and what the buildings were purposed for at different points in the history of the Disney studios? Thank you!
Jonny,
Unfortunately no. However David Lesjak and a team of enthusiasts are currently working on such a booklet, focusing purely on Hyperion (not Burbank).
