Amazon has just released updated covers for two upcoming books: The Disney Sketchbook 1928 - 2008 and Disney's Neglected Prince: The Art of Disney's Knights in Shining Armor (and Loincloths).

The Disney Sketchbook does have a much more grown-up and tame cover.

It is more sophisticated.

Nah-the old cover was way better!

Too bad they still use this "Disney Consumers products" drawing of Tarzan!! They'd better use one Glen Keane's rough instead for example!!
It makes me feel like this upcoming book i'm really lookind forward to will be less "artistic" than it seems to be and more like a merchandise product that you can buy at a Disney Store...

About the sketchbook, it looks good to me even it doesn't translate the fact you may really find inside sketches from 1928 to 2008 with just a Mickey and Alice's roughs on cover...

I think the previous Sketchbook cover was much more original and way cooler than the "updated" one.

My two cents...

I am seeing that "The Disney Sketchbook" is available online at Overstock and other places including 3rd party sellers from Amazon, but I have never seen it available on Amazon or in the stores. Do you have any info on this title...is this a scam or a pre-release that I am seeing...perhaps review copies that are being posted online? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

The book has been cancelled for now. Do not buy those virtual copies. They do not exist.
