[Attached are two photos taken by Stephen Solovitz on Thursday September 27 at the National Fantasy Fan Club Convention in Orlando, Florida. Disney historian Jim Korkis with Virginia Davis, who was the first Alice in the Alice Comedies produced by the Disney Brothers Studio. (If you look closely, in the background, you can see the back of Imagineer Marty Sklar's head in one photo, as well as Disney publicist Charlie Ridgway who wrote "Spinning Disney's World", and Tom Nabbe the original Tom Sawyer at Disneyland) Jim did an hour interview with Virginia for the members and when he gets back the copy that was filmed will transcribe the interview for "Walt's People" along with the additional hours of interview information he also got from Virginia during the event including this never-before-revealed piece of information.
Virginia: "I was scared of Roy Disney because he was so solemn. When I went to see him he would say 'How can I help you?' but he was so stiff and moved so rigid that it frightened me even though he was the nicest person. He was the quiet Disney. Poor Roy. He never could handle the camera. He either cranked it too fast so I moved very slowly on the screen or cranked it too slow and I moved like a jackrabbit. They finally had to get a camera with a motor in it."
Virginia is eighty-eight years young and will be celebrating another birthday on December 31. She was accompanied to the event by two of her granddaughters. When Jim asked one of the granddaughters if they saw any similarities between the grandmother they know and the little girl in the Alice Comedies, one of them responded, "Yes, she has the same attitude. She is a little princess!"]

I wish I had gone to the NFFC convention.
I guess going to Celebration 25 was a fair trade off :)
