[One of the great things in life is that something you may have loved when you were younger can gain even greater enjoyment from the perspective of age and experience. Last night, on television I watched the 1967 film version of the popular musical "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" for the first time in well over a decade. Imagine my pleasant surprise to discover that it was written, directed and produced by David Swift who was a Disney animator as well as the director for several Disney live action films like "Pollyanna" and "The Parent Trap". However, what really prompted me to watch this film more closely than I did as a foolish youth was that there was a credit listing Color Designer Mary Blair! Yes, those bright colors I loved watching when I was younger were the work of the famous Disney color stylist. I checked John Canemaker's outstanding book on her and sure enough, she was the color designer for this film that I loved watching when I was a theater student.]
