"This September 1953 issue of Child Life was a very special one in that there is a 4-page section called Mickey's Birthday Party.

I quote from that part of the magazine: “This month Mickey Mouse celebrated his birthday. He invited his best friends to come to a party. Minnie Mouse and many others came. How many old friends do you know? Walt Disney drew these gay party pictures especially for Child Life”.

Just another example of Mickey's birthday being celebrated anytime between September and December until Dave Smith officially declared November 18 as Mickey's birthday."
