I love the conceptual art that came out of the Disney Studio in the 30s and 40s - Gustaf Tenggren, Albert Hurter, Earl Hurd, Kay Nielsen, and William Wallett, to name a few, produced some gorgeous stuff.

If you ever want to see some absolutely stunningly beautiful and outstanding pieces of Disney concept work from the so-called "Golden Age" of animation, email my very good friend and fellow collector Dennis Books and ask him to send you some images to post. You'll be blown away by what he has.

Thanks for sharing the images in this thread.

Is it possible to somehow acquire a catalog of the Paris exhibit?

Looks lovely, and I hope to see it in real-life soon... but for now clicking on them is giving me 404 errors!

Benjamin: The 404 error should be fixed now (Blogger does not handle well the special characters in the names of the images).

David: To buy the catalog, go to Amazon.fr and search for "il etait une fois walt disney". The Catalog of the exhibition is the expensive one.
