This just in from Gunnar Andreassen:[The magazine with this article was sold on eBay recently, but unfortunately it was too expensive for me. Could this have had the first Mickey Mouse(s) in color - except for the posters ? Can this article have been forgotten ? – I have never seen any mentioning or copy of it. It seems like it has the prosess of making a cartoon right – see for ex. the emphasis it puts on a written scenario.

I believe several Mickey Mouse illustrations shown in that article were originally drawn by Les Clark.

ReplyDeleteAs I was going through my newspaper archives tonight, I discovered this magazine article, complete with the same photos and illustrations, in the November 2, 1930 edition of the San Antonio Express newspaper.
