Very interesting question from a reader of the blog.
[I am a regular reader of this blog and am fascinated by the work of Disney. But cannot find anything about his producer Perce Pearce, whom I believe Doc was based on. Could you tell me where I could find some more information on Perce Pearce?]
I wonder if anyone can help. I have checked and Clement, who wrote this email, is right: there seems to be very little if any biographical info available about Pearce.
I remember an article that talked about Pearce in funnyworld - most have been the late seventies. I'd contact Mike Barrier he should have some info.
