Two readers have asked for help:
[Hi Dider,
Happy New Year! I am doing some research on "Carnival Time (1962)" a Wonderful World Of Color episode which featured Jose Carioca and Donald Duck.
Any chance you might have a copy or know of a source? I have several cels I believe to be from this.
Please let me know. Thank you so much!

and about a forgotten Disney director:
[Hello Mr. Ghez,
I am a Disney fan from Germany and a reader of your History Blog. I am looking for informations about Paul Satterfield for an article on my Fanpage. There's not much to find, but it looks as Mr Satterfield was a important person around the 1940s for Disney. Could you maybe give me a book title with more about him or any else information (birth, death, ... )?
Best regards,
Kevin]
Can anyone help?

Paul McKinley Satterfield was born in Dahlonega, Georgia on March 27, 1896.
His parents and grandparents were all from Georgia. While still young the family moved to Adairsville, GA where in about 1918-1919 he began working as a cartoonist for a newspaper. In late 1920 he married a girl from Illinois named Elsie Peterson. They settled in Oak Park, Illinois where they lived with Elsie's parents and Paul operated his own art studio.
In the mid 1930s, he had begun working in California at the Disney Studio. (I lose track of him in the early 1940s, but apparently he remained in LA for the remainder of his life.) He passed away in Los Angeles, California on August 14, 1981.
(If additional info regarding other family members is needed, please contact me.)
