So I asked my parents what Walt Disney really did, and they (not having any idea about Disney history or what a producer’s job is either) answered that he did nothing, except giving his name and his money…So, it seems you’re just imitating Walt, doing nothing but putting your name on the show: “Didier Ghez presents…”

More seriously, there will always be frustrated people to whom Internet is a gratuitous and “anonymous” way of hurting people. Don’t pay too much attention: we all owe you so much gratitude for the amazing work you do. I agree with “another anonymous”: I’ll read “Walt’s People” until volume 100 and beyond.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-85203769316406291932008-08-22T23:18:00.000-07:002008-08-22T23:18:00.000-07:00Thanks to all for your extremely kind comments.THA...Thanks to all for your extremely kind comments.

THAD: I always answer all of my emails (usually within 24h). You have helped create an online community of Disney scholars that readily and happily shares knowledge and resources without any thought of compensation or commercial exploitation.

As far as I'm concerned, you deserve far more credit and recognition than the simple editorial bylines found on the Walt's People books that "Anonymous" ironically finds so particularly offensive.Jeffrey Pepperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00990997892044489714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-20073670849729934472008-08-22T12:35:00.000-07:002008-08-22T12:35:00.000-07:00Don't let this dork's comments affect you! Without your work I would have never seen these amazing interviews (I have three of the "Walt's People" volumes and plan on getting more). They were in all likelihood just flaming you, hoping to get a reaction.

I would ask anonymous, what have you done to advance the interest and knowledge of Walt Disney, his work and the work of his huge pool of talented artisans. The answer is probably a big huge goose egg.

Like my father-in-law likes to say: "Don't let other people control your life." I know it's hard when you pour your heart and soul into something and then have someone come in and shoot you down...but just remember the source.

I appreciate all you've done to advance the scholarship regarding Walt Disney and his legacy and I am sure there are hundreds, if not thousands, more like me.DisneyDavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03177008494595707305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-25641305884886811072008-08-22T05:08:00.000-07:002008-08-22T05:08:00.000-07:00How handily those named "Anonymous" can plod their...How handily those named "Anonymous" can plod their way across the internet choosing to question whole careers of esteemed artists and writers. I've been attacked frequently enough that I should be comfortable with it, but it still hurts. Unfortunately, that "Anonymous" guy is so obviously uninformed and virtually clueless about the media (s)he takes for granted.

Keep up the excellent work; we who know a little bit appreciate it enormously.Michael Spornhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02018522723674960270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-10384882340192013332008-08-22T04:24:00.000-07:002008-08-22T04:24:00.000-07:00I generally just let comments like tha roll off my...I generally just let comments like tha roll off my back.
