Also, I'm sure you would never use copyrighted material in your books without making the proper arrangements. Again, please accept my apology for any unintended offense. The WEDisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12650870729996435711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-54879357692981286842016-09-06T11:18:20.632-07:002016-09-06T11:18:20.632-07:00January 6, 1940.January 6, 1940.Didier Ghezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05442745682397929615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-54954928509763787512016-09-05T13:55:59.714-07:002016-09-05T13:55:59.714-07:00I can hardly see the date next to 'O.K. by JG&...I can hardly see the date next to 'O.K. by JG'. So my comment was not aimed at you personally; I hope it wasn't taken that way.
Still, it is a pity that even a book aimed at adults with a serious interest in Disney history is bound by these limitations. Again, this is not to take away from your hard work; I can't wait to hold this book in my hands!Joosthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12306373106501336395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-12639737185726718152016-09-05T04:06:04.665-07:002016-09-05T04:06:04.665-07:00Guys: the sheer naivete of these two comments leav...Guys: the sheer naivete of these two comments leaves me speechless. Please look at the name on the cover of the two books, above the title. Please also look at who owns the copyright of both the text and the images of the two books, and finally, please read the first line of the acknowledgments of Volume 1. That will probably answer you better than I am willing to do here, if you can read between the lines. Including it in the book would even be 'safer' than presenting it online, where there is far more risk of it being used out of context by those aiming to tarnish Walt's reputation.
That said, I am happy that we can see this piece of art one way or another. Looking forward to the book, as always!Joosthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12306373106501336395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-75450744809209940992016-09-02T13:35:33.376-07:002016-09-02T13:35:33.376-07:00Why not? When we study history, we must understand that the views of society may be different than those of today. We may not agree with it, but it helps us to fully understand the time period we are studying. I think a book such as yours is the perfect place to discuss these matters. We can all still enjoy Disney, even knowing that 60 + years ago, some things they (and all the other studios!) created would not be acceptable to society today. We have evolved and so has Disney.
Love your blog! The WEDisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12650870729996435711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-36893199485221495502016-09-02T08:19:53.684-07:002016-09-02T08:19:53.684-07:00Looking forward to it!Looking forward to it!Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01891803494450719808noreply@blogger.com
