In general, this type o...I agree with you, Didier.<br /><br />In general, this type of scholarship uses Disney as the springboard to discuss other cultural theories. And, really, I'm just not that interested in those other cultural theories. <br /><br />I prefer books that use emerging tools to explore the history and social impact of Disney's works--which is an entirely different approach to scholarship and historical exploration. <br /><br />For the first Disney's products are the mean to talk about theories of social, film, or literary theory. For the other, Disney and its products are the point of exploration themselves.Todd Piercenoreply@blogger.com
