There are some lovely shots of the old studio--also time sheets, color models, etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-31689920156919170532008-05-02T00:24:00.000-07:002008-05-02T00:24:00.000-07:00If you ever wondered what life was like at Hyperio...If you ever wondered what life was like at Hyperion, this is the book to get. I received my copy of the book today (softback), and I frankly did not know what to expect: I am absolutely delighted! I wasn't expecting such interesting photos, such beautiful and plentiful artwork, and, what's more, such a handsomely produced book (the color, to mee, seemed quite nice). A very very big thank you, then,

Lionel Michaux, Paris, FranceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-76373989157309671892008-04-30T13:25:00.000-07:002008-04-30T13:25:00.000-07:00Robert was kind enough to send me a pdf file of th...Robert was kind enough to send me a pdf file of the book.

I really, really enjoyed seeing the black and white photos taken on the grounds of the old Hyperion Studio. That alone to me was worth the price of the book.

My hardcopy should be arriving any day now and I can hardly wait.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00656658573895928823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20219340.post-58263789562784468002008-04-30T11:00:00.000-07:002008-04-30T11:00:00.000-07:00Frankly, I didn't see my copy until I returned hom...Frankly, I didn't see my copy until I returned home from a trip yesterday! I liked the way it turned out and flipping through the enlargements was enjoyable -- since the original images are generally less than 2" in size. The color is better in the hardcopy than in the softback, but still not too bad -- a little more yellow than I would like. I'm still trying to get the hang of "soft proofing" for these books. I hope this lets folks get more of a "feel" for those early days than some of the other publications I've seen.
--Bob CowanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
